What is it?

The Wildrose Cup is a trophy awarded to the best men’s team in Alberta funded by the FC Edmonton Supporters, the River Valley Vanguard, and the Foot Soldiers. The trophy was created as the award for the the Al Classico rivalry between Edmonton and Calgary, with the term Al Classico being a tongue-in-cheek nod the the El Classico rivalry in Spain. Al Classico has since caught on and has been trademarked by the league and is used in all of the instances of FC Edmonton and Cavalry FC playing each other.
